Quiet Times

Editorial

overview

Writer and filmmaker, Jue Yang, wanted her work published in a book. Her four shorter texts all revolved around travelling, whether physically, spiritually or emotionally. The four texts touch on the topics of belonging, meditation, cultural disconnect and suicide. As this was written in such a gentle and intimate manner, I decided that the best way for readers to engage with the texts is if they were printed in smaller, passport-sized publications.

As the are references to food cuttings and growth, the cover is made from recycled card, like growing pots. All four publications were printed with RISO, per client’s request. The four prints were wrapped together with a thicker natural card wrap, and supported with a foldable poster with film-viewing instructions and colophon.
